International audience This conference will discuss issues surrounding traditional ceremonies in Vanuatu. The need to balance the relationship between custodial control and tourism will be considered. Marc Tabani will present two case studies: the Nagol (or land diving) held on Pentecost and the John Frum ceremonies held annually on Tanna every 15 February.
